san francisco got up to 68 degrees in napa and concord. those winds have been very gusty this morning. pine flat road near 80 miles an hour, i should say overnight. mount saint helena 76. we had gusty winds even at the lower elevations. looking at live doppler seven a lot of high clouds passing through the bay area. the wider perspective shows us why the windy setup. so we have this area of low pressure over the desert southwest. high pressure building in right behind it. the winds coming out of the north northeast. that's the same wind storm that is fueling the palisades. fire down south. so it is going to remain gusty tonight. the winds picking up here in the bay area, 41 miles an hour at 8 p.m. notice it's close to 50 miles an hour going into the wee hours of the morning. winds will peak in the overnight hours going into tomorrow morning at 40, and then eventually start to back off as we head towards the afternoon hours. so that wind advisory is going until 10 a.m. tomorrow. beach hazards statement until 9 p.m. tonight. breakers up to 2

here's a look over san francisco.tarting out with some patchy fog out there this morning in our valleys. not as widespread though you may find some on the highways early on. outside of that, we'll go with partly cloudy conditions for today as these i almost said winds as these clouds will continue to push in from the pacific northwest where there is a storm there. this ridge of high pressure is actually going to deflect those storms. in fact, if i roll you through not only today but the next several days, you're going to notice the storms continue just to move up and over, not only california, but even parts of the pacific northwest. we do have a system come tuesday, wednesday time frame that will drop in on the back side of california because they go up and over the ridge, and then they drop down into the great basin that creates that northeast flow. and it's that northeast flow that helps to drive our winds sometimes and helps to bump our temperatures up in the afternoon. 46 degrees right now in oakland, 45 in san f
