martinez reaching 75. 70 in hayward today. now, we're cooler along the coast and i don't think we will shake the fog in half moon bay, and palo alto, 74 degrees, and san francisco reach into the upper 50s. our north bay temperatures going to 73 in ukiah. the temperatures cooler than normal even ahead of the cold front headed our way. this is going to be bringing the showers saturday into sunday, and it's nice that will be falling in some of the fire areas. we have ten active fires right now across northern california and a lot of these spots look to get from a quarter to possibly three quarters of an inch of rain. we are looking at mostly a trace, maybe up to 0.1 of an inch of rain around santa rosa, but if you are not around santa rosa you probably won't see too much out of this, and there's a trace of rain and at least there's sprinkles on the garden as we go into sunday. we're still in the low 80s today. our temperatures are coming down, but we have upper 70s and mid-70s for sunday. then look at how the temperatures rebound next week. officially we welcome in fall next wednesday. san francisco will see mostly mid-60s, but it's going to warm up again as we go

martinez today reaching 92. 93 in pleasanton. antioch 96. we're still going to have the wide range in temperatures and mid 60s near the coast and 82 in redwood city. san francisco downtown. our north bay highs reaching 90 in sonoma and 95 in clearlake. that's where we're going to see more of the smoke coming in from the fire north of ukiah and here's the way it looks on our model. it does show that smoke kind of pushing off towards the east. much of the bay area won't see a lot of smoke for today. just looking a little bit more hazy, especially tomorrow, but a closer look shows that by tomorrow morning we're going to see that smoke moving right over clearlake, northern napa county and pushing off towards the east. the air quality not too much of an issue, but there are seven fires burning to the north of us and that does not include the extremely large dixie fire and the caldor fire. so it's a very active early start to our fire season and then as we go to the forecast, it does look like we could catch some relief here in terms of rain farther to the north. coming out of portland, moving in to far northern california. but this line looks to fall apart before it
