[laughter] mr. frank: i was at a conference at sandhurst a couple years ago and at the end, the commandant made two remarks and explained that the british army trains its left tenants and he told us how they have various tactical and other problems they give them. but they also like to throw in a moral issue into these problems. one recent exercise showed a scenario along the lines of the famous drop on the fortified maryville battery the night before the day. it was heavily fortified with heavy artillery. the plan was for a battalion of paratroopers to capture for the landings. the scenario goes along to that point. you get to the rendezvous point instead of 700 troopers you have 160. and waiting at the rendezvous point, five french civilians appeared. what do you do with them? one of the six lieutenants announces they are hopelessly deadlocked. three of them believe that to maint

part of that is dodd-frank. i don't know anyone who would agree with dodd-frank.d that some things put in there after the fact should not have been put in, but it is what it is. unfortunately because dodd-frank , it is what it is. i have to deal with it. that is the law of the lamb. land. it basically says make the system better, so the regulators have a huge amount of authority to interpret these rules. is better, dodd-frank is partially responsible, but dodd-frank was passed 100% democrat, 0% republicans. none of us can possibly say you can't make things better. rational people should sit down and say what ports work, what parts don't work, what should be changed. a lot of good work was done and a lot of flaws need to be fixed. david: you were quoted as saying you would have to move people out of london. jamie: brexit is what we expected. unknowns a vote for the that we thought would reduce the gdp of the duke. it is going to. going to withuch foreign direct investment, people opening factories, construction. it is not a disaster. we think .5% to 1%. the second,

frank: it provided that function. he originally wanted to do two volumes in the publisher said no, it had to be one volume. watergate had to be mentioned in the first volume. that was the decision to write a one volume book, which worked against it in many ways. it's a 1038 page book. when dick cheney got an advance copy of it, he was in the hospital and the doctors told him the book was too heavy for him to lift and read. i think that worked against a volume of that length. he wanted to get it down. watergate was not his favorite topic. those two reasons. it was to fill the time until he got better physically. it and the television interviews were boxes that had to be ticked. he decided to tell the story of his entire life, which i think was important. it was more remarkable that we only got those presidential documents in july of 76. for the first year and more, we were writing very interesting stuff about the pre-presidential life. the answer is we were immensely and particularly talented and devoted and we ran a 2

in the newsroom i'm frank mallicoat. back to you. >> frank thank you. >>> a check of the forecast. what's it doing in the mountains? >> it's snowing a little bit. they had complains on 50 and 80, advisory. that's been dropped but it's very wintery up there. temperatures dropped a good 10 to 13 degrees. talk about rain, snow is most important, because it sits up there in freeze form, ice, and then melts off slowly and trickles into our reservoir so we can use it all summer long. but we are on track this year, the all-time rainfall record for the mountain indexes, the reservoir indexes in northern california, 1982. if you guys remember that that was the big el niÑo. the most rain we've ever recorded unsan francisco and other bay area locations. and we are right there with that right now. as we go into april, we have a chance to be the wettest in terms of precipitation, in terms of rainfall and the reservoirs. so it's very impressive rain. up in the mountains, julie asked what was going on. there are clouds there now. we are still seeing snow flurries but most of it has ended for now.
