and frank figliuzzi so well laid this out is far as motivation as far as the types of evidence. can they prove that he took this fake gun over state lines, possible federal issues? there all sorts of a wide, varied amount of evidence that they will look at to try and determine which way they go with charges. the shooting happened in new york city, specifically in manhattan. so it goes to the manhattan da's office that will be prosecuted by alvin bragg, who's been, of course, in the news the last several years for his prosecutions involving former president trump. but as far as this case, this is the type of homicide, even though it's gotten the amount of attention, it's gotten the type of homicide that the manhattan da's office prosecutes day in and day out. and there's frequently evidence that comes from all over the countryhat is presented to those prosecutors, those adas, and they bring those cases. so from that standpoint, it's not overly unique. certainly the amount of attention to this case is unique, just given the nature of the crime and the nature of what occurred here.
