of course this claim, if you go back and read our story this claim originated with a frank luntz memo that basically urged the house republicans to use this line to describe the health care law, in particular what was then in the, in the bill, the public option. the option that there would be a government-run program as part of the health care exchanges and that of course got removed from the final bill but the line worked so well that the republicans kept on using it and it of course conjured images of a european-style socialalized medicine system and was a, was a very inaccurate way to describe a health care law that really relies overwhelmingly on private industry, on private health insurance companies providing coverage and health care exchanges themselves are really marketplaces where private health care providers compete. so to describe the law as a government takeover of health care was just ridiculously false. on the democratic side, and i mentioned this is more from democrats than from obama himself, was the claim last year about the ryan budget that it would end medicare. an
