the hero postal detective is your great-grandfather, frank oldfield. he was brought down a wing of the black hand society, and organized crime group, that was a precursor of the mafia. first of all, how did this book, about? ofliam oldfield: 110 years procrastination. [laughter] the promisesally, were that certain people had to pass away in the family, and then we would allow permission and it was granted finally after my mother passed away. for a few months from the information and research and archive materials that we were lucky to have reserved, and then it started, and i could not let it go. after about 2012, that is how far i got, traveling all over the place, researching all over the place, asking a million questions, going out of the country, doing research in italy, asking everybody for help, and nobody wanted to touch the story. i put it all away. one day i walked into an independent coffee shop, just like an independent bookstore, and there was victoria bruce. talk about that, because it was very fortunate for this book to come along. victori
