good evening, i am frank summerville. >> i am julie haner. >> we know the victim of today's shooting was a 19-year-old woman. officers responding her call about threatening family members with that gun. there is a lot of information tonight. we are live at the scene of the shooting on blossom hill road in south san jose. she talked to the eye witness who took the weapon. >> reporter: she came out in that corner house, carrying something in her hands and a neighbor caught all of it in her cell phone camera. >> you can see the 19-year-old woman coming out of her hom and you can hear the police telling her to drop her weapon. >> after 10:30 this morning after getting a call that she's going to kill her weapon with the uzi asult weapon. officers thought it was a weapon and pointed several times directly at them. you can hear the officer say "stop right there". that's when the officer okuma hn in the force for 13 years fired the shot. the officers were feared for her safety and the safety of the public. >> we had a call and a serious situation and dangerous situation for our officers. >>

. >>> and i'm frank summerville.ned that thieves got past the fence and stole construction equipment. ktvu is live at the metcalfe station near morgan hill where she just received some new information about the thefts. >> i want to show you where thieves broke into this chain link fence, it is one of 3 areas at the back of the substation near highway 101 that was cut and broken into. sheriff's deputies are also investigating. here's what happened. around 2:00 in the morning overnight thieves entered the construction yard next to the substation. it doesn't appear they were after the power grid but did steal construction equipment like hydraulic equipment. it's not clear how long they were there, we are told there is 24/7 security at this substation. is attributing the breach to human error. >> in our investigation one of the fence alarms did go off and that's something we are looking into, was this properly followed up on. we are working closely with the sheriff's office on their investigation. we are also doing our i
