my colleague frank thorp is reporting on capitol hill there should seem to be a deal that now has beengn relations chairman bob corker along with democratic colleagues. some of the language has been changed regarding iran and terrorism, as well as on the review process. and the thinking is that that's actually going to create a majority that will be veto proof. this all tamron plays at some of the tensions that are going on. congress wants to be able to have a say so in this iran deal while the administration is saying please don't do anything that's going to jeopardize this deal from being finalized in june. that's the tensions that are playing. it will be interesting to see if the white house is okay with some of these changes that were made with democratic help. >> let's talk about john kerry being on capitol hill. day two of this. is he making any progress? >> i think the bigger development is this deal that was stuck by benn corker. the white house has been having a huge blitz, but the question is is this a blitz completely against any type of deal or are they trying to make this

well harry reid knows parliamentary procedure but so does our own nbc's frank thorpe our senate producerked him what exactly was reid doing in this situation and what reid can do is force the senate to go into executive session. that's a special procedural mechanism he has at his disposal. however, if he is to do that, there's no guarantee that in fact, a lynch vote would go forward and a mcconnell aide when he heard this said sure reid can move the senate into a special session but he can not necessarily bring up lynch's nomination unless he has the majority of 51 votes. how would reid be able to do this? reid is banking on the fact he would have the 46 democrats plus the five republicans that said they would support lynch but it's unlikely the five republicans would public by the go against their leader mitch mcconnell even on a vote of parliamentary procedure. all that being said according to mcconnell aides, they think lynch will be on the docket in terms of being nominated and ultimately confirmed within weeks. they're figuring out a compromise on the human trafficking bill and chal

nbc 's frank thorpe joins us. good morning, what can you tell us?e they have thread the needle. democrats and republicans have reached an agreement where they'll be able to vote on this bill in the next coming days which will lead to a vote on loretta lynch's nomination for attorney general. going back to the beginning here democrats objected to language included in the trafficking bill that would have prohibited funds in the bill used for abortion. that language is called the hide amendment, been included in pretty much every appropriations bill since the 1970s but they said this language marked an unprecedented expansion of that language and they wanted it taken out. so this deal has threaded the needle in a way where democrats feel comfortable that this bill does not include an expansion of the hide amendment. while the hide amendment is still included and still applied to any kind of programs that involve health care in this bill, it doesn't apply to legal aid or law enforcement, and so democrats feel comfortable with that. if that vote comes up
