a little sadly franklin died in april 1790. he would've been counted but then the census data was august so he wasn't. she is included in the census, probably. i say should probably because f another mysterious thing about this entry. this is it highlighted. as was the rule, it's not listed under her name but that of her husband who was the head of the household. the interesting thing, the mystery about this line to me is we know how many people are in that family. this was the daughter and the granddaughter of benjamin franklin. but it seems like there were two women missing from the count. we couldn't come up with any obvious reason why they would be absent, whether they would be traveling or something like that. my best guess is two of franklin's female grandchildren probably were simply overlooked. you might find that hard to believe but even today the census purified young children are one of the groups they routinely undercount. it's not acquainted as women were missed rather than man. the various subtotals was sent back
