live in frederick maryland. we've been calling this winter's rerevenge >> left frederick moving to the south and it's coming down good. in the last 30 minutes or so we got a lot of coverage. basically a moderate snow ban now, in terms of the driving ban doing pretty slow. at little slushy trying to stick on the sides of the roads as you can see from the picture. traffic not having a problem. slowing down. once the rate of snow picks up, that's really when we're going to have a problem on the roads. the roads were well above freezing with sunshine and temperatures in the 40's. we're moving through a pretty good snow band and i anticipate that this is really going to continue to get a little bit heavier over the next several hours. roads are primarily wet now just kind of reiterate that. and i do believe that the roads crews have done a great job out here. pretreating and we've seen a couple of salt trucks earlier and i suspect we're going to see plenty more of those. at least on this band we're headed 270 south r

martinsburg 8.3 and there were a few spots in frederick county that got 10 inches. cumberland got 10 inches as well. frost burg about 8 inches. all things considered it pretty much did as we expected. as got farther to the north it delivered the jackpot snows to central and upstate new york with 20 to 30 inches of snow up there and that is a wind driven snow. we're going to stay windy and cold as a result of our proximity to the noreaster and the high pressure that's going to be building in. that means we're only in the low 30s. believe me, some ofñtb you don't even get to the 30-degree mark. i don't think we'll see as many 30s as we saw today. get ready forth cold. tomorrow morning a little bit of sunshine, 25 degrees. watch your step because of the possibility of black ice. by noon we're still windy, 30 degrees, maybe around. 4:00, temperature 336789 these are the air temperatures. the wind chills is a totally different story. let me start you out with a predicted wind chill for 7 in the morning. anywhere from zero to hagerstown to 3 in gaithersburg. take this out

we have this piled up, packed heavy icy snow here just almost everywhere here in frederick. they got hit with a nice dose of snow here yesterday and sleet as well but the streets are looking clear out here. at this point we're just dealing with cold and it is very bitter out here. we saw 19 degrees at one point this the feels like being about 4 to 9 degrees at certain points this morning as well, the wind blowing at points at 15 miles per hour because of those conditions, it's building right here, the frederick rescue mission opened the doors as it does all winter to welcome those who need a warm place to stay and conditions like this. inside, they serve all kinds of people. they also provide a place to sleep and keep warm. meals, hot drinks, et cetera. then after that they come back outside and go about their day. i can tell you as someone who has been out here all morning long, what you want to do first before coming outside assess your layers. you want your scarf, coat, hat, gloves, long everything underneath. when the wind blows through it is bitter and cold and will ral
