counties to the south, toward fredericksberg, you are the exception. windy as it is off to the north and west. and a windchill advisory for the mountains. temperatures combined with the winds will feel like minus 5 to minus 10 during the course of the day. and old man winter back with a vengence for the next couple of days as temperatures will be very slow to warm. a little band of snow through montgomery county during the overnight hours and stretching down into prince george's county. all thanks in part to lake erie. the winds are blowing so hard across the lake that the lake effect snow able to make it down into the washington area. it happens once or twice a year but should be a fairly quiet day. partly sunny conditions and very cold. our high temperatures later today will struggle into the upper 20s to about 30 degrees. and again, it's not going to feel that warm. winds out of the west and north, 20-30, gusting to 45. we'll feel like teens and single-digits for much of the day today. partly sunny skies, winter weather advisory will expire at 9:00
