here is the one in spotsylvania county, just south of fredericksburg, one just north of fredericksburg, too. you can see where the warning is on the east side of spotsylvania county. really under the gun right now, the town of spotsylvania lightning associated with that right along route 3 and then right out of fredericksburg south and west through the county here. a lot of lightning and really the biggest story here with these storms, very heavy rainfall, this one right along i-95 dumping a lot of rain in a very short amount of time. and the storms are really not moving all that much. another storm just to the north of luray has had a lot of lightning associated with that, too, in toward shan do wa county, page county, warren county and around front royal just to the south and west. off toward the east we've got more showers and really this is some very heavy rain along route 50 if you're heading out toward the beaches, across the bay bridge, i do think you're gooding to run into problems on the roads because we have seen some reports of flooding out here towards the easton area. so h

fredericksburg getting pummeled right now. here's i-95, always a problem down this way during the afternoon rush. that's exactly what we're seeing around fredericksburg bellevue, along the king george county line and back toward the west. very heavy along 17 and 95. farther up to the north in through stafford county we continue to see this between the garrisonville area, ruby and stafford county. once again this is building to the north and could continue to build toward parts of southern falkier county, maybe southern prince william county. back to the west, shenandoah county, frederick county virginia we're still seeing showers most of them dying through the evening. by 11:00, most of this is out of here. we're just dealing with cloud cover. that's why i think it will be a nice night for dinner across the region. tomorrow morning starting off very warm and humid with some cloud cover. look at the storm chances. not much around the metro region, but back to the west in through the mountains i think that's where you have the b

this is a monster storm in fredericksburg. getting more and more concerned about flooding with this storm from stafford into spotsylvania county, essentially 95 from stafford to fredericksburg. that's a nasty commute on 95 south. we'll zoom out a little bit, a big storm. this is now pushing on the east side of 95. it's not moving very far very fast. flooding is likely. heavy rain, frequent lightning strikes around 17 and rocky run road heavy rain. macarthur's corner and brook road now has heavy rain. what about hail? earlier we had the possibility of hail just under an inch in diameter around rocky road. that's one of the criteria for a severe thunderstorm, an inch hail about the size of a quarter. it's drifting north, northeast. if it holds together, it could get to manassas as we get into the 7:56 hour. it's moving super slow. i'm more concerned about flash flooding. please don't cross the street by car or foot. don't let the kids play in the storm drains. isolated storm tonight, humid. hot and humid all weekend. mainly afte
