this is down around the fredericksburg area. this is 95 in fredericksburg.s area is getting hit really hard. this is the area that's been hit really hard for the last couple of howards here, around the fredericksburg region. a lot of lightning, a lot of thunder. take a look at the radar now, you can see what i'm talking about. as we look to what we're seeing down to the south, it is around fredericksburg, but leesburg and others to down to the southern zone, the fredericksburg area, still have severe thunderstorm warnings in effect for king george and spotsylvania counties, just south of fredericksburg. look at the lightning for port royal. a lot of hail with this one too. there's i-95 and it's going to be a mess as you make your way through the evening. more storms back through marshall, middleburg, a lot of lightning with this storm in loudoun county. moving towards leesburg, this is right over dulles airport. i want to show you this right here. storms to the north, howard county. but we're looking at two boundaries right now. you can see one right in here

it goes to show what sunshine can do here. 8 o at manassas. 81 to fredericksburg. it's dropping to 70's west of us. if you have outdoor plans the temperatures will fall to 70's. 73 degrees by 9:00. the stormwatch7 satellite and the radar, a few showers out there now but well south of the d.c. metro area. if you have anyone 95 around the fredericksburg area to look at a light rain shower. that crossed the expressway east. 20 miles per hour. the commute is going to slow things down. 58 to 65. can't rule patchy fog in the morning. it won't have any impact on air travel. but leave a few extra minutes. traveling the beltway. this is why. not only the patchy fog but a chance for showers and maybe a thunderstorm. 7:00 in morning. that is what this model depicts. moving through the midafternoon hours we'll see the scatters showers remain on radar with thunderstorms. we have a better chance of mid-to-the late week the temperatures 80 on wednesday. perfect on thursday around 80. 84 for friday. ten-day outlook shows temperatures to cool down as we move to upcoming weekend. we

it is getting into some of our southern counties toward fredericksburg. and while this is moving east it is starting to move northeast but headed south picks -- expect it to be wet at least for the next few hours. i'm starting to watch these and see how they are moving northeast. this stuff is going to head toward us i think as we get into the latter part of the afternoon. futurecast a little under plan in the southwest but by 7:30 we have a few showers here, maybe a little more than that with temps holding the 50s, maybe near 60 this afternoon. rain tonight will be heavy at times, one or two inches of rain in spots and here we are at 7:30 in the morning, a good soaking rain and as we head into mid-morning this is where look, we are much better by 10:30 especially once you get west of fairfax. and fox dear county, still dealing with wet weather. that will dry out some of the afternoon. not a lot, still sunny and beautiful but a better afternoon with just a slight chance of a shower and look how cool. directors tomorrow will likely hold in the 50s with tem

that's all i try to do. 62 quantico. 59 fredericksburg.it's georgous out this morning especially in the suburbs where temperatures are upper 50s now. here's the deal wore next few days. definitely summer feel today and really the next few days. we've been talking about the heat wave. 80s north of us and boston 80s maybe not in the 60s and 90s south and right in the 90s too. i think there will be some places in upper 80s. a lot of us in lower 90s and out in annapolis, anywhere by the water you'll be a little cooler by the water. speaking of the waterier check out the weekend forecast. after a heat wave ever a few days temperatures drop significantly for the weekend. it will be 76 degrees or so on saturday. and you get the idea. lower to mid 70s. 78 degrees on surprised. still nice. there's a chance of spotty thunderstorm afternoon into sunday evening but at this point it doesn't look like a big deal. check out high pressure keeping us protected here, showers, thunderstorms, big thunderstorms down through southern planes and that will happen
