i'm fredricka whitfield. one day after a small plane collided with a new york sight-seeing helicopter, a section of aircraft has just been pulled out of the hudson river. also recovered, two more bodies. cnn national correspondent susan canada yoltty has more. >> sunday morning divers pulled up a fourth victim from the area where the debris is concentrated. the remains were carefully placed onto a stretcher and transferred to a waiting police boat. as additional bodies are being brought to the surface, they'll be taken to the medical examiner's office for identification and autopsies. divers also hoisted to the surface a sizable piece of metal, part of the helicopter's fuselage. the water is murky and the current is strong, making it tough for divers to find the small plane's wreckage. they can barely see two feet in front of them. sonar is helping. the ntsb is spending its first full day tracking down more witnesses and looking for possible video of the crash from buildings overlooking the hudson. >> this is

i am fredricka whitfield in atlanta. looking at live pictures on the right-hand side of your screen. the location where new york mayor michael bloomberg will take to the podium to talk about the midair collision taking place just off lower manhattan there in the hudson river. a collision between a tourist helicopter where at least six people may have been on board. it is tied to the liberty tours service which operate out of midtown, manhattan, and a collision with a small aircraft believed to have taken off from the teeterboro, new jersey feeder airport. small airport that is usually used by commercial, small private aircraft and we understand that that plane just might have originated from a company out of philadelphia. meantime, the two collided. eyewitnesses saw it on a beautiful day just after noontime. now the faa according to the associated press is reporting there were three people on board the airplane that collided with that tourist helicopter. the u.s. coast guard is reporting that one person was rescued. we d

i'm fredricka whitfield in atlanta. now the recovery phase after a mid-air collision over the hudson river. you're looking at the recovery mission under way on both those screens there. a helicopter as well as a small plane, nine people in all, on board those two aircraft collided just roughly after noontime and just about an hour or so ago, the mayor of new york, michael bloomberg came out to say this simply not a survivable crash. they have recovered two bodies but the recovery mission is still under way to locate the other seven bodies. they have located the wreckage of one of the aircraft, presumably the helicopter, they continue to search for the wreckage of that small airplane. this is what an eyewitness said he saw shortly after noontime earlier today. >> over in this area by this park over here. halfway out, basically where that barge boat out s out over there, a small plane like a cessna cutting back toward the new jersey side, the helicopter heading southbound about 1100, 1200 feet, the plane rolled into the h
