fredricka whitfield is joining us from the cnn center in atlanta.e have new information we're watching right now. we want to share with you about the boston marathon bombing investigation. cnn can exclusively reveal that the alleged bomber tamerlan tsarnaev had video of a known jihadist on his personal youtube channel. the video is of a man named abu dujana. he was killed by russian forced last december. he died in the capital of dagestan, which is in russia, where tamerlan's father currently lives and where tamerlan spent at least some time, maybe six months, if not more, in 2012. cnn cannot confirm that tamerlan and abu dujana actually met in pakistan. the video had been deleted from tamerlan's youtube account but was tracked down by cnn. here's the latest information on tamerlan's brother, the surviving 19-year-old suspect, dzhokhar tsarnaev. he's hospitalized. he's described as being in serious but stable condition. a federal official tells cnn he has injuries to his throat and is intubated and sedated. despite his condition, tsarnaev could be f

i'm fredricka whitfield in for brooke baldwin. the chief prosecutor in houston is under 24 hour protection. and law enforcement officials across the state of texas are treading with caution today after the second recent murder of one of their own. tough talking prosecutor mike mclelland was found dead sunday morning. mclelland's wife was slain as well. their bodies were found at their home in kaufman county, the same texas county where assistant d.a. mark hasse was shot dead back in january. hasse's murder in broad daylight prompted this challenge to the killers by the now dead mclelland. >> i hope that the people that did this are watching because we're very confident that we're going to find you, we're going to pull you out of whatever hole you're in, we're going to bring you back and let the people of kaufman county prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. >> law enforcement officials including the fbi want to know if the killings were linked and whether white supremacists may have been involved here. recent indictments

. >> christopher, this is fredricka in atlanta. i'm wondering, given you defended timothy mcveigh, oklahoma city bombing case, are you seeing any parallels between this case and that which you defended? >> well, there's certainly some parallels because you have the explosions and this wasn't -- fortunately, wasn't as devastating as the oklahoma city bombing was. but the trial is going to be as difficult, i believe, as the oklahoma city bombing. when you have to get in and get experts and bombing experts and people to help you learn how to blow up a bomb, build a bomb and clean up a bomb, that takes an extensive amount of time and a lot of expertise. whoever ends up defending this man is going to need a lot of help with investigators and with experts and a pretty good team of lawyers around them to get a case this size put together. >> likely it will be a public defender so one has to wonder, even though he's intubated right now and the miranda rights issue still has not been resolved, is it your feeling that there is a public defen
