fredricksburg after a high temperature today of 77 degrees now has a wind chill of 43. a 34-degree temperature drop. that's the way it feels out there on the exposed skin. you can see what's happening. the cold air racing in across the area. there goes our frontal boundary that. brought severe weather across the region today. parts of southern maryland picking up close to an inch of rain, some hail earlier. now we're looking at the snow coming down across the area. we will not see any here. i don't think we'll see any here. but back to the west into the mountains, not bad out there. i think the ski resorts could pick up a little bit of snow towards western portions of maryland and into west virginia. the wind advisory still in effect until midnight tonight. most likely should be dropped by that time because winds are not getting up to that 50-mile-per-hour range anymore. but they could be -- we could be seeing those winds up that high once again during the day tomorrow. at least a 30 and 40-mile-per-hour winds during the day tomorrow. our front continues move on through

it's 52 here in town, 44 hagerstown, down south already 55 in fredricksburg and along the bay and east on the other side of the bay, that is. annapolis at 50. still some 40 new zealand great falls and gaithersburg and sterling at 49, while it's 52 in colombia. here in washington looking at our michael and son weather camera, lots of sunshine on the white house today, pond is going nicely up there, it's not been frozen at all this year. 52 with mostly sunny skies and that north/northwesterly wind at 12 miles per hour. we're watching this storm system. this is coming for tomorrow. this morning i labeled it thursday's rain maker. maybe i should have had thursday afternoon shower maker. i don't think we'll see a lot with this, but that trend west to east will continue. by sunday, though, we'll have a storm in the gulf area coming this way. will it head toward us or will it go out off the south carolina coast? that's kind of the question mark to determine whether or not we see much at all on sunday or maybe something wintery. the jury is still out. in the short term, though, not much coming
