turkey. there is a kurdish terrorist problem. some of the groups the u.s. said are good freedom fighters the turks say there are territories and there is a disagreement there. the biggest thing is keep turkey from a full-scale invasion because of the issue as we've seen in the past where the kurds are fighting isis, the kurd forces and syrian democratic forces backed by the u.s. and turkey does something, they've had small incursions in the past and kurdish fighters stop leaving the fight with isis and go back to fight against turkey and isis regroups. it is something we've seen play out in syria in the past. we've seen isis group in iraq before as well. so this is a very real concern among those who study this and work this. and inside of the pentagon where they say we're so close. if we could do this just for -- who knows, another year, let's say, we might be able to actually knock isis out for good. the assumption again, even among the trump national security advisers have been, if we leave now we'll give isis a chance to regroup. >> i want to get your reaction to vladimir putin, russ
