fremont, only 65. and san francisco 59 degrees. we cannot see the top of the golden gate bridge. it's going to happen. i showed you this the first couple days of may figuring something is going to correct itself. we will end up may being colder than january. the average high in january in san francisco is 61.9 degrees. 25 days in to the month of may we are running out of days to correct this. the average high has been 60.6 degrees. it's not even close. january more than a degree warmer in the afternoon than the month of may. that's because we have the onshore flow. we sit next to a very chilly ocean at least where we are and the flow coming off the ocean has been persistent for 24 consecutive days. you know what else has been consistent? all of this stormy weather. see how many rain delays the colorado rockies have had? or rain-outs? impacting the giants last week. this big trough of low pressure will not move east which will not allow this ridge to move east. that's the problem because we're kind of backed up in the atmosphere and we'll stay that way for two more days. flow from

meanwhile, northbound, this is for 680 through fremont.other one, this is a crash right just past the mission off-ramp. the mission north one there as you're traveling past the washington district. travel flows smoothly but the crash is in the center divide. visible in the southbound commute likely and it will be a factor if it doesn't clear in the next few minutes. meanwhile, coming down into fremont for your commute southbound for 680 and for 880. we see a pretty typical pattern off of 580 through this area. we almost always see this slowing. here and the build continues over across the bay as well. as we look at 880 toward the san mateo bridge, west 92 toward the peninsula side and live look at our camera from the toll plaza and this is a very light volume of traffic for almost 6:36 in the morning. no slowing from 101 through san mateo or into san francisco. we'll look out again to the shots for the bay bridge where the metering lights are on. this is your slowest spot for the bay right now as the backup forms into the maze. and also do

drivers near fremont should expect major delays on northbound 880 at fremont boulevard after a fatal accident. we were over the scene of the collision at the off-ramp of 880 boulevard and fremont boulevard. the accident happened at 8:30 this morning. both the on-ramp and the off-ramps will be closed for a few hours. >> traffic is moving smoothly on a san mateo bridge after it re-opened ahead of schedule but there was a little hiccup. crews opened the span at 4:00 a.m., an hour early after a weekend closing for maintenance. the signs leading to the bridge said it was still closed several hours into the commute. caltrain said they had to manually change the signs to show it was open. they will close the bridge again memorial day weekend for do more work. >> caltrain service has soared because of the technical industry so they have added extra cars. matt hopped on a train. >> you need more rain add an extra car and caltrain did that with a few trains. passengers are happy to see the changes. >> silicon valley is booming like never before. need proof? check out the crowds on caltrain. >>

marine killed in a crash last year is suing the fremont city -- the city of fremont and the police department in a wrongful death case. andrew silva was on his motorcycle when he was hit by an alleged intoxicated driver being chased by police. silva's family says police should have known the driver was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and shouldn't have chased him. silva just returned from afghanistan one month before he died. an update to that valuable painting that was stolen in san francisco. that painting has been found. yesterday, we talked with artist, nicholas coley. a couple walked away with one of his finished paintings on april 11 and it was caught on surveillance video. police say the man seen in this footage was recognized by a friend and the artwork will be returned. coley, by the way, holding up to his promise. he is not pressing any charges. >>> we are continuing to follow the developing news, those may day protests acrows the bay area. we'll bring you an update after the break. >> bay area splash parks are popular, but some kids might be disappointed by what the drough
