david misch is accused of killing michelle xavier and jennifer duey in fremont.ck to 1986. that's when a motorcyclist found the women's bodies on mill creek road. misch became a person of interest back in 2000. police say they were able to close the case thanks to evidence collected since then. and even though it's been more than 30 years... people in the community remember the crime. <"every time you drive by you think about it, subconsciously maybe but it was scary a little bit">( darya ) misch is currently misch is misch is currently serving time in a california state prison for the 1989 murder of a woman in alameda county. the fremont >>> generating a lot of heated conversation. one bay area community -- fremont union school district is getting ready to launch lessons on health, puberty and sexuality. the curriculum led to an online petition against it. robert handa joins us from fremont. robert, every school district has a sex ed curriculum. why is this different and causing so much problems? >> reporter: it's hard to tell. a lot of this has to do with the approach that they feel the district is taking. it's not too surprising, though. the term sex education seems to raise concerns whenever and wherever it's brought up. starting in april, fremont unified students from fourth grade through high school are scheduled to be taught lessons in health, puberty and sexuality. lisa rivera is a teacher and the mother of a sixth grader in the district. >> as a parent, what were your concerns? >> i guess the content. what are they teaching? and age appropriateness. >> reporter: some parents shared that concern and an online petition on change.org aims to block or delay

fremont police officers shot and killed 16 year old elena mondragon.ccording to a new report from the d-a's office... elena was a passenger in a car when the driver tried to ram officers conducting an undercover sting. that's when the officers opened fire... but they missed the driver and hit elena instead. her family still wants the officer held accountable. "people make mistakes but this was a deadly costly mistake and even with that being said people should be held accountable for that."( robin ) the d-a's office found that the officers acted in self defense. elena's family says they are considering legal action against the department. later this month they plan to hold a vigil in hayward to mark the one year anniversary of her death.
