anyone with information about the theft is asketo call fremont police in fremont.t honda, nbc, bay area news. san jose is working to fix issues at the city's animal shelter today. the city opened a pop up adoption site in downtown to help find dogs and cats new homes. this comes after a 133 page audit found the city shelters overcrowded, dirty and lacked space to prevent disease. the auditor gave the city of san jose 39 rerecommendaons to address those issues. this new adoption site is part of the city's plan to improve the shelter, but also then provides the advantage by bringing them here. they're distressed, but then also provides more space and capacity at the shelter for them to decompress. we will need to see the management team at the center step up and deliver on the 39 recommendations that the auditor outlined. we'll be looking at that very closely. the pop up site is located on east san carlos street, just a few blocks from christmas in the park. it will be open every friday through sunday for the next month, and will feature five dogs and seven cats each
