my name is laura frey, and i'm a long time san francisco resident. i hope that you grant the appeal and do not accept this project. somebody brought this up at the committee meeting in july that this project was brought up almost exactly the same time as the accreditation process against city college. city college was focused on the accreditation thing, and it was not focused on how it would affect them and its impact on the future. for this reason alone, the peal ought to be upheld and not go through. another thing is, how the fire department approved this. this is a very dense project, and it doesn't have the infrastructure for firefighting that all the other dense areas of san francisco have, so that was another reason. and just like mr. zeltzer just reminded you, it falls to the supervisors to make the call. the planning department's agenda is a little bit more set, where the board of supervisors can really see and feel what's best for the city, what's best for future generations. please support the education of future generations. thank you. >>
