i wonder if their dew point center is on the fritz. it's much less hot and humid than it has been the last couple of days. right now anyway 87. feeling like 93 with the dew point above 70. it's still sticky. we're talking about a day planner that shows temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s this afternoon. this would be a rain-cooled 78. if the shower misses us it probably will be 10 degrees warmer. we'll slowly drop off to the mid-80s by 8:00 and then post of the activity is double. drier, cooler -- is double. drier, cooler -- done. drier, cooler air moves in. there's the front with the drier air moving into this warm air mass. that's why we're talking about a threat for scattering showers. the heavier stuff could be south of us through the afternoon. even late afternoon to early evening, we can't rule out the isolated passing shower and then the drier air moves in tonight into wednesday. it's going to be sweet around here the next couple of days. for this afternoon, 92 at national. i think most of us are staying in the #s on, though
