so that is a big boost of confidence but i think the other factor is what i've been calling frugality fatigue. i think after two years of consumers being frugal, paying down debt, i think they're tired of being true inaugurfrugal. >> and unemployment, people are without jobs, 9.8% unemployment, been stuck there for some time now. in 2011, how does the jobs picture look to you? >> i think looking better. i don't expect to see a big move down in the unemployment rate. i think a fairly slow slog but the leading indicators point to better job growth are in place. initial unemployment claims trending down. companies increasing the use of temporary workers and converting them to permanent help. numbers of hours worked is expanding. the business conditions are there to justify hiring. i think some of the uncertainty that existed prior to year end is starting to wane and i think we'll see better jobs numbers. >> when you talk about the uncertainty we now know that tax law extended into next year. unemployment benefits for 13 months. how significant are those actions? >> i think the extension
