. >> what the ftc and antitrust investigators doctor. >> and they've been sniffing around increasinglybigger it gets, the more scrutiny is gets. >> yes, definitely. and then, b, you know, you look at the other networks like facebook who is essentially trying to do the same thing that google is, which is to be the internet for a bunch of people, they want to do e-mail, they want to do phones, too. it's the same sort of thing. >> and we often forget monopolies by itself and i'm not suggesting google has one, but monopolies are not illegal on their face. they are only illegal when you are used to prevent time or you force people to take things they don't want or you use your power to block others out. is there any sense google does that? they seem like they welcome competition. they do a lot of things altruistically. >> so i think there have been a few questions. this most recent acquisition of waze, that raised some hackles because google is the clear leader in maps. thus far they have been cleared a number of times from fdc investigations and i don't know. it's sort of anti-competitive.

it's the ftc which would weigh in or have to start any kind of investigation into the actual pyramideme thing. >> correct. >> we're talking about two different things. >> i think we need to be clear these are separate issues. one is a food safety issue and there's no evidence, no consumers have come forward and said that they have found product with metal in it or metal contaminant. that has not happened and the company reiterated to us many times that they have not had those reports and that they felt comfortable sending out the product. having said that, we have seen documentation over several months that clearly illustrates what they called according to one power point presentation, the metal contamination problem. and so this was something that they were handling quietly. it was never disclosed. unclear that it had to be disclosed. the fda does not require you to go to them unless you believe you have a problem, and in this case the company says it did not have a problem. >> right. andrew, great story. good reporting. stock is moving. it's active. at the lows of the day, down a c

how often is the federal trade commission, ftc brought action against airlines for not getting straight with customers? the last five years. >> they do it all the time but as a matter fact, they probably have more findings over the last year than they have, you know, in a long time. >> i think relative, relative to the number of people are better traveling, it's fairly small but i think the fact that there are laws in place, there are rules in place and there is enforcement taking place. so the system is working. >> i'm not sure if anyone bought a plane ticket -- i think that the system is broken. i think that the airlines may think the system is working because they figured at the righteous new way to unbundle all the services and charge for separate pieces. which absolute is here to stay. it is a business decision that is not going back, turn back to the old days anymore. but without consumers being able to see what those prices are, without airlines being required to show those prices for all the baggage, change flights, boarding passes, how much it will cost for your seat assignment
