( james ) after weeks of closed door sessions... the senate republicans have unveiled their healthcare bill. senate leader mitch mcconnell is pushing for a speedy vote, but republicans can only lose two votes and still be able to pass the bill. the bill would cut and redesign the medicaid program for low-income and disabled people. it would also erase taxes on higher earners and the medical industry that helped obama's law expand coverage by roughly 20 million americans. right now, rand paul, ted cruz, mike lee, and ron johnson say they can't support the bill in its current form... but they are open to negotiation.
