<about bright futures sioux city, a program in the sioux city community school district. for those that don't know much about this program, what is it? sure, bright futures usa actually and it was put in place to address low graduation rate actually. once the program started they realized that their community had a lot of needs. students maybe not having meals or not having coats, that type of thing. it was a way to organize community efforts, collaboration amongst different community agencies as well as the school in that system. then the joplin tornadoes hit and that structure was in place so that community was able to respond quickly to the needs of their community members. so the sioux city chamber actually brought this to dr. gausman and the sioux city community schools and asked us if we would lead the program. so we took it up. this has been about a year ago. so we had our big kick off, bright futures breakfast event, we're trying to reach out to community partners, community members that want to volunteer in our schools and so
