the measures you are discussing right now, will this be discussed at the next g-8 in g- 20 meeting? >> our respective prime ministers have been meeting diligently. they have put forward a framework that will be discussed and hopefully ratified at the g-8 meeting. that will provide a broad consensus. the united states is putting forth a very specific regulatory reform that will make sure that we do not find ourselves in this position again. it improves oversight, ensures that banks are not taking risks with highly leveraged money that can result in systemic collapse , and that consumers and investors are protected more effectively. we have a lot of work to do. it is going to be a big accompli -- complex piece of legislation. the banking system in italy has not been under the same kind of pressures as the banking system in the united states and some of the other european countries. i think the general principle that we will have is improved oversight, better practices, and some coordination in information sharing between countries on certain topics said that we do not have global capi
