one of the ongoing concerns i have had particularly as a result of the shooting of our colleague gabby gifords. we were asked to do a number of security improvements and given protocols for security. but we faced mra cuts and of course everybody was faced with a sequester and yeah, we had to reduce our staff by three positions but at the same time we were requested to employ certain security concerns -- to address security concerns. for example, the assessment of one of my district officers, which was my flag ship office, it was on the first floor of the office building with a glass office looking out into the street. moving to another location wasn't an option because we could not afford to move. one of the concerns we have had and we have been raising it at each one of our hearings with the sergeant arms and the capital police as well is would a fund, which i understand the senate has, allocated for security and the senate has a fund that is allocated for the security of member district officers. would a fund similar to that for house members even though the allocation may not be that great
