gabe it's hard to believe that a letter of such importance was leaked mistakenly and officials have been scrambling up there not to limit the fallout i mean this has been a pretty bad week for the pentagon. this is been a terrible week for the pentagon and monday was probably one of the worst days the pentagon has had in a very very long time i mean this was a problem that it was on multiple levels it wasn't just one little simple mistake here was this letter that was sent out on department of defense letterhead that was has the name of a general u.s. general based in iraq that was leaked and the letter is very clear it says sir in due diligence to the sovereignty of the republic of iraq and as requested by the iraqi parliament to the prime minister u.s. forces will be repositioning our forces over the course of the coming days and weeks to prepare for onward to movement i mean that was very clearly interpreted as u.s. troops are pulling out of iraq but that wasn't the case because as soon as this came out this started the report of the pentagon scrambled together to figure out what this
