stuart gaffney and john liu was, you have been -- lewis, you have been together for almost 30 years nowty usa. what does today's ruling mean to you? >> today's ruling means the world to us. we have been together for 30 years. on a personal note, i was born in the 195060s. growing up as a -- in the 1950s. and growing up as a gay person in it is 1960s, i would have never dreamed of this day. it proves that dreams do come true. i am thrilled that the united states constitution protects all of us, including lgbt americans. >> john and stuart, i have had a chance to interview both of you in person over the past ten years here at ktvu. all of the times we talked, they were big victories in your eyes. compare today to all those other victories or setbacks that you two have had along the way? >> yes, well today is the grandest victory of all. you know, back in 2004 we in san francisco could come to our city hall for a month and get married. that was fantastic. then in 2008 our state supreme court said that gay and lesbian couples have the freedom to marry. that was fantastic. then it was taken
