delays building out of gaithersburg headed out towards rockville. that's a check of your fox 5 on-time traffic. >> a west virginia community is holding onto hope and prayer as it deals with the worst mining disaster this country has seen in two decades. >> fox 5's will thomas is in west virginia with an update this morning. >> reporter: just moments ago, another update from the west virginia governor. he now says 11 of the 25 miners killed this afternoon about 3:00 in an explosion here at the mine have now been identified. four are still missing. and we've learned getting to those men could take, at a minimum of 12 hours. the build-up of bad air in there, the methane build-up that make it too dangerous for rescuers to get to those four men, wherever they may be under there is so dangerous, they are going to drill three separate holes 1100 feet deep. it could take again, according to the governor, as long as 1 hour. they need to vent out the space so rescuers can go back inside and try to rescue these four men. they are calling it a rescue operation.

we've got 73 at gaithersburg. fredericksburg, 79 at this hour and 75 at manassas. a little cooler at annapolis near the water at 68 degrees. as far as the temperatures elsewhere are concerned across the country to the south, we've been benefitting from that southerly flow of air that moved in. but we've good cooler air on tap associated with a frontal system. that frontal system is sinking its way to the south. temperatures not quite as cold as last night, however, to the west where we had a frost advisory, none of that tonight. temperatures into the upper 40s and low 50s. let's look at truview because that front actually moving its way from the north is going to stall to the south of u.s. into the course of tonight. you see all these clouds to the west? that's what we're going to see. the clouds will push their way in towards us. it's a moisture starved front so the precipitation you see to the north we're not anticipating seeing any of that as we move into tonight. let's go back to the weather map. this frontal system will develop a wave of low pressure. it is go

this is why you kind of scratch your head sometimes in the world. 80 up in rockville. 81 in gaithersburg. we hit 71. that was right on my forecast. there's little old washington, national at 72 degrees right now. outside of washington, we still have some 80s way out in cumberland at 82. how is maryland doing? well; annapolis, 59. cool down rapidly and made our way into the 70s. lower to mid 70s there, and again, in that forecast, what i was going with. satellite imagery together, you don't see anything on the radar, because there's nothing to talk about and satellite imagery, we don't see any clouds. continue to see the sunshine and warm air build in. this is going into sunday, still looking great for us here in washington. we turn our attention well west and this is the front that is going to be here overnight saturday through the morning hours on sunday, but makes its way towards this bubble of warm air. that's going to push it all away and the front dies out and taken all rain chances out of the forecast. temperatures tonight, there are the mid to lower 50s in the heart of washington.
