trace gallagher is here with more. what are we learning? >> we have these radar reports that show the plane was at 32,000 feet then went up to 36,000 feet then suddenly plunged. it could be evidence of a stall, one of the few things is they want to recover the bodies for the families' sake but they want to do autopsies because autopsies on the victims can tell if they died on impact, before impact or after impact. that could help in the investigation. we all know the cockpit voice recorder is key because if there was a stall in this case, you could hear the stall warning. it picks up ambient sound, so you would be able to hear that as well as any engine noises then finally the flight data recorder. that will give you things like the speed of the plane, the angle, the engine performance. you piece those things together to get a clearer picture of what was going on in the final seconds of the flight. >> a lot left to do in this investigation. what happens next? >> we talked about that piece of the chuk of the fuselage that you mentioned they

trace gallagher is live with more on this. you know, trace, we brought this story to viewers a couple of days ago. what is new now in the case? >> well, gretchen, we know when firefighters found jessica chambers walking down the road on fire that she gave them some information before she died. now, the assistant d.a. who is handling the case says she gave them some clues, but he won't say exactly what. only that she was able to communicate, but that it was very difficult. now, police are still in the process of using jessica's cell phone records to kind of establish a timeline, if you lshgs finding out who she texted and who she spoke with in the hours before she was killed, but the d.a. says for such a small town they are truly baffled at how little information is coming out. listen. >> all the years we've been doing this it's very rare that we don't have a lot of street talk about who did this to lead us to where we are. >> police are also looking very closely at this surveillance video of a convenience store where jessica g
