i want to tell you about a competition that is going to be this weekend at tysons galleria. if you're out shopping, you will see four chefs from different bakeries. here with me today is beverly with the vidalia restaurant and with her is kate jansen. kate is decorating -- go right ahead, kate. kate is decorating and showing us how easy it is to decorate a cake. it's not easy but she's making it look easy and beautiful. what type of icing do you have on that cake? >> cream cheese. >> i love cream cheese icing. let's talk about -- beverly, let's talk a little bit about the competition that's being held. why is this important? four different chefs decorating wedding cakes in a mall. what's the significance? >> a bride doesn't just buy her dress or plan the reception or invite her best friends. she has to select a perfect cake. and this area we're blessed with so many really talented bakers and chefs. it was our way to not only raise funds for scholarships but to showcase some of the wonderful talent that we have that we sometimes take for granted. >> in this area we do have so

a tornado on the ground but a warning for radar indicated tornado potentially moving through the galleria area. highly populated area of houston. this is moving to the east at about 30 miles an hour. if not a tornado or winds, rain is the other big issue. a very slow moving system. areas around dallas, areas around austin and san antonio and now houston will be if they haven't already receive a tremendous amount of rainfall in some cases estimates to near 10 inches. six inches in arklatex region and severe thunderstorms a threat as the slow moving storm pushes into the east into record breaking heat for probably the fifth or sixth day in many cities. 80s as far north as chicago and through atlanta and that looks like it will hang around. it's helping certainly feed some of the heat and moisture into this system which is creating some of the severe weather across texas. >> i know it's hot here in atlanta. the pollen count yesterday was 9,000. normally at this time of year it's in the hundreds. >> even at 6,000 was the old record. we're off the charts. that will continue in the next couple
