the newest gallup healthways poll is out ... and iowa still isn't the healthiest state in the nation. the report released today ranks iowa as the 14th healthiest state. last year. in 2008 governor branstad promised to make iowa the number state by last year. hawaii was the healthiest state in the nation this year ... up one spot from last year. once again the unhealthiest state in the nation is west virginia. we'll see a mix of sun and clouds over the next several shift toward the south for friday and saturday and that will help us reach the warmest temperatures so far this year. sunday will bring a chance for a light rain/snow mix, but this is not expected to be significant. the bigger system will move in for tuesday when there is a potential for higher snow totals. there is still quite a few elements that will needed to be monitored over the next few days to determine the know so far: it is a large storm setting up for late monday through early wednesday. we are expecting measurable snow with some totals over 6' by wednesday.
