jason galvin and his neighbors in rush city, minnesota, saw it dangling from a tree and his leg was stuckpiece of rope wrapped around a branch, leaving the eagle hanging upside down 70 feet off the ground. it had been caught up there for two days but when they called for help everyone said there's really nothing we can do. not giving up the army vet used his military training to untangle the eagle shooting down the branch the eagle was caught on, now, the rescue was emotional experience for him saying, quote, there were a lot of tears and when it finally came down it was breathtaking. it was a beautiful moment. the eagle is now healing at a nearby medical facility and picked up the nickname appropriately so freedom. so now everyone is just hoping and waiting to see freedom fly again. it took him 90 minutes and 150 shots. >> 150 shots. >> yes, and as dan likes to say it might have given the eagle a heart attack. >> it might have but it was worth it. i mean, otherwise they were just going to leave the bird there. >> i have a follow-up question, did someone catch the branch? >> i'm not sure,
