garrett tenney joins us live in washington d-c with more. garrett? who came out on top in last night's debate? debate tonight? trump has a big lead help could be coming for the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. a bill that changes the state's pension plan is on its way to the governor. yesterday lawmakers passed the bill known as the "scott pine law." if the governor signs it, the families of first responders killed in the line of duty will get 100 percent of that officer's salary every year for life. it's a big change that started with bridget pine, the widow of sheriff's deputy---scott pine. the bill is retroactive to 20-13. meaning--families who lost an officer after 20-13 will see their benefits increased. state lawmakers also voted to eliminate a 19th century law--banning unmarried men and women from living together. florida is one of only a handful of states that still has a law making co- habitation illegal. the bill now goes to governor rick scott's desk. a bill putting more florida is also ready for the governor's sign

garrett tenney is in washington, d.c. he latest on the trump decision to cancel his rally, good morning, garrett tfrgets was ugly scene last night to be sure it really could have been much worse as you mentioned. 25,000 people were trying to get inside for this rally at the university of illinois at chicago. that's according to trump's campaign. manyny of those individuals were protesters. and shortly before the rally was set to kick off, donald trump met with police who told them they advised him to cancel the event due to security concerns. when that announcement was made, the two sides of trump supporters and protesters collided inside. and things quickly escalated from yelling and shoving to punching and fighting. caught in the middle were police officers who were trying to get things under control and escort protesters outside. in all, only five people were arrested, according to chicago police. so, dozens were injured, including several police officers. trump later said his campaign deserved a lot of credit for cance
