and then he took me and my friend and a couple of his buddies -- i think garry shandling was with usmantilini's, which i don't even know if it's open anymore. and he treated us to dinner. i could never afford kate mantilini's. at the time i was living off ramen noodle soup. [ laughter ] and i was like, "sure. i'll get the --" i think i ordered the ramen. [ laughter ] and he goes, "i'll treat." i just will never forget that, 'cause i was just a young comedian. and he was being a cool guy. i just love him. and anytime he comes out with anything -- gu, town, go see chris rock live.
