i'm garvin thomas. things are starting to cool off a bit but tonight we remain under a micro climate weather alert as heat continues to grip parts of the bay area. taking a live look outside, temperatures are still in the high 70s and low 80s across the bay area. the warm weather is not helping firefighters. they spent most of the day fighting a brush fire south of byron. it started around 9:00 this morning. the fire burned nearly 130 acres and is contained but crews are staying on scene making sure hot spots don't flare up. vasco road is still closed. this is why. take a look at the new video from inside the car driving through the smoke coming from the fire. it just envelopes the car. you can't see anything out of the front windshield as the smoke gets hazier and more orange. we showed you the scene as breaking news at 11:00 last night, flames shooting out of a home and embers flying across a neighborhood starting other fires. fireworks are believed to be the cause. >> reporter: fencing is up today in
