gary gellert: "54:48 student and staff safety is our number one priority" district superintendent- gary gellert- emailed parent's of the situation- letting them know everything is under control. despite that reassurance, though, he says this was an unusually large altercation. gary: "55:49 this one was a little more serious and spilled over into the community, a lot times kids will have a conflict kids will have a fight and it ends, but this just didn't end" police were able to quickly break up the fight. gary says- any threat to students and staff is taken seriously. gary: "57:53 when there are threats or rumors of violence of any kind then we're going to investigate and get to the bottom of it" samuel finley handled the situation well. he has a message, tonight, though, for fellow parents- to keep an eye on their kids. samuel: "1:56 talk to your kids, get on their facebook accounts or whatever, if you see something that you know not know anything about, make sure you ask what's going on" t.j.: "officers tell me there's nothing more to this- and that students are safe. in north college
