and gary kelly as he always does joins us on the quarter, southwest airlines ceo, welcome. >> great toback. thank you all for having us. >> i want to get to some of what is happening with airline shares in the capital markets, but just on the recovery, and cash burn, we've been hearing from a lot of players, that the first half hope might be dimming and turning into a second half hope. is that turning into your base case >> it's just hard to predict and i think we are, well what we want to do is stay healthy you know, we're running the best airline, once again, we'll have the best customer service record, we are outperforming financially, we've got the strongest balance sheet, and our people are pumped, and they've done a great job surviving 2020, and getting us to this point, and this is going to be a recovery year. finally the case counts are starting to ebb and that's encourages and january and february are seasonally rough months anyway, in addition to the covid case count, coming into the year. so i think we'll wait and see what happens here with march, it's a little too early to

the ceo, gary kelly says in response to current trends our capacity plans remain conservative through021. they're currently expecting another fleet decrease for 2021. they're going to go from 747 aircraft, they're going to go down a little bit from that. so they're also saying as far as the max goes and southwest is a max story, jackie, 35 737 max 8 deliveries, 16 leased air crafts, seven of which they've already gotten. in the first quarter they'll get the max aircraft out into the system, this is southwest airlines. we're waiting on jetblue and american. the stock is down 2 and a quarter percent right now and again, that is on, again, a miss here unfortunately for southwest airlines. so we're watching that stock. we're also watching some other stories this morning. i want to bring to you, including this one. there was a powerful tornado that touched down yesterday before noon eastern time. down in tallahassee. it went right through the international airport there, up to 85-mile-an-hour winds were recorded, flipping a small plane. damaged a hangar there, topped several trees. there's
