i'm gasia mikaelian this is bay area news at 7:00. we begin with continuing coverage of the recycling fire that we have been following for you on ktvu channel 2 news at 5:00 and 6:00. we can tell you firefighters, pouring water on the smokey debris at a steel plant, have the situation under control. amber lee live where she has been asking if the smoke is tobgsic. >> we are at 11:01. home of the field. when we first got here there was a lot of smoke that stung and there was the skies that were smokey. now, as you can see, the sky is clear and the fire is mostly out. we are going to show you video from chopper two. the fire broke out at 4:14 this afternoon. it is a facility that recycles medal including old vehicles. i just spoke with oakland fire battalion chief. he says the fire likely started by an item that was inside of the vehicles such as a battery. as for the smoke, there does not appear to be toxic levels high enough to create a health hazard. air quality management direct had a unit out to look at it. a worker here at the sce

i'm gasia mikaelian and this is bay area news at 7:00. finally free. two graduates are released than more than two years in iran. an airplane took two men to the capitol of iran. emily reports. >> reporter: a smooth landing marks two years in iran. this was the first place they went after the government released them from prison wednesday. the first taste of freedom since officials arrested them hiking along the boarder in july of 2009. >> we are so happy we are free and so relieved. two years in prison is too long. we hope for the freedom of other political prisoners in america and iran. >> this is a wonderful day. >> reporter: took a 500 thousand dollars bail each to free them. the us stated the men and their traveling companion never belonged in prison. in august the two men were convicted of illegal entry. he's scheduled to speak thursday. >> he wanted to garnish goodwill and particularly now he's been in the political context, he wants to show the world he's still capable of delivering. >> they are expected to spend their next days in oman. their
