gavin grimm joins us in studio.great to be here. >> what did you think when you heard this week the trump administration was rolling back the protections that the obama administration put in place for transgender students? >> it was very frustrating. i don't think anybody was necessarily surprised. they had been saying they were going to. more importantly than any of that, it emboldened us to ramp up our efforts and keep fighting as hard as we have been. >> what is your life like? let's talk about what prompted this lawsuit and prompted everything. what was life like for you in high school with bathroom use and everything else? >> for a period of seven weeks after i came out my sophomore year, i used the men's room with no issue. things were fine. it looked like i would be supported as any other student was. obviously things didn't continue to go that way and i was barred from the men's restroom. >> as i understand it, there are a member of the community who wasn't comfortable with you using the boy's bathroom or th
