and that's where kron four's gayle ong is talking to people about how to beat the heat. gayle. all right, no, but first, we want to go ahead and check in with kron first. chief meteorologist lawrence who says that the temperatures could actually top 100 degrees this weekend. yeah, i think easily shattering records around the bay area this weekend. i'm looking at this heat wave and this may be under forecast so far. this is going to get extremely hot. i think hotter than last. he wave as we saw some temperatures up as high as 107 degrees. >> places like livermore, this ridge of high pressure is coming from a different location instead of the last one that brought us the way that came off the pacific, the ocean waters lot more moisture into this one coming out, the southwest with that dry desert air that's temperatures to soar a lot more rapidly and get a lot hotter around the bay area. so latest forecast, you see that ridge building in on friday and saturday, that likely going to be the peak of the heat is that ridge builds overhead temperatures that day, maybe 108, maybe more i
