design the mid in mid 2026 both boa will complete 100% design and the project will be submitted to gbi for a permit that is the target date. the construction phase is forecast to start for ingleside in early 2027. clark will achieve substantial completion 24 months later in early 2029. i believe that the previous commission update that was forecasted for mid 2027 so you can see that there are there have been setbacks in the schedule. a few words on how clark integrates into the project clark cmg c contract requires their participation early on ingleside in starting in the design development phase they not only provide comparative cost estimates for different schemes and systems for value engineering to control costs but they also provide early advisement on just how different systems will impact the cost of the work as as market events evolve and they are evolving, we learned recently that timber costs have skyrocketed due to the l.a. fires. we also anticipate that of steel tariffs are implemented. steel prices may once again escalate. clark will provide overall cost estimates at the e

so we'll now hear from gbi. >> welcome senior inspector ospital. >> he will be our new liaison with tbi good evening, commissioners and congratulations president cristina and vice president hepler. my name is joseph patel senior building inspector with the department of building inspection. >> the permit before you is a replace a demolition of an existing rear deck and stairs and a replacement in kind with the inclusion of a firewall at property line the permit the approval of this permit application was based on the information provided by the design professional and and the permit holder and the applicable codes of the california building code a deck in san francisco is required to be protected by a firewall when it's built less than three feet to the property line in a fully sprinklered building that distance excuse me and in a fully sprinklered building it could be three feet from property line beyond if it's a non sprinklered building it's required to have a five foot setback. okay. or per table 7 or 5.5 it can be protected by a firewall which goes from the ground to 30in above the

the other concern was is the process that companies could go to gbi and get a permit. as you know, people i could be quite cumbersome through all the different stations you need to go there. so we tried to clarify about what kind of permit you needed because there was a concern or there was an issue with accepting a building or a trade permit, a electrical permit only as fire wanted to actually see the systems, see their plans being installed. so this clarifies that we are going to be reviewing everything over one kilowatt on that type of permit whether it be a building permit or an electrical permit. we'll work with either one to be able to review and some requirements when it comes to solar systems, the final thing is we've clarified with the industry and both the building and electrical department that ac ten contractors license is not required for these. these are to install these systems or design the systems because they are pre manufactured and essentially they're installed already so you don't need that license. so we've taken away a couple of hurdles and tried
