gene robinson joining us with analysis, next. >>> one of the women accusing herman cain of sexual harassment. according to politico, herman cain made a suggestion that she felt was overtly sexual in nature and that she perceived her job was at risk if she didn't do it. she described it as an unwanted sexual advance. she left shortly after the incident with one year's salary, about $35,000. today politico reported the other woman received about $45,000 settlement. but nbc news has not yet confirmed this amount. the national restaurant association said it will decide tomorrow whether to allow one of herman cain's accusers to issue a statement. so far the story isn't hurting herman cain at all in the pocketbook, fund-raising, or in the polls. the campaign has received more than $1 million in donations since sunday night. today kurt anderson, who now works for the perry camp, says he was not the source of the leak. >> and i didn't know about any of this stuff. and i didn't peddle it to any reporters. >> herman cain's campaign chief had strongly accused anderson yesterday, but today he backed off

but gene robinson. i mean, you could make the case on the appearance that joe paterno was protecting an alleged chooser. >> that appearance has certainly been left. he needs to clear this up. there was a 1998 incident in the showers with two 11-year-old boys that was investigated by the university police. how could he not have known about that investigation? how could he not have had that in mind when the 2002 episode, where mccreery saw the boy being abused, allegedly, occurred? it -- a big-time football coach is by definition a control freak. he knew everything that was going on in that build, you have to suppose, knew everybody. so, tell us! what's the deal? >> this man is a classy man. this man is about integrity. this is just so out of character for joe paterno. this is part of his resignation announcement. >> well -- go ahead. >> do you want to say it, mike? go ahead. >> no, you know exactly where it is, but go ahead. i was going to ask something after you were done. >> well, this is what he says,
