street is a major thoroughfare for cars and bikes connecting the castro close to san francisco general hospital. it is a very appropriate place to start. when we went in to the campaign , i was proud to work with a great team to pass it. there were a lot of people who said to me to go for it but it will never pass in 100 years. sometimes we failed to get it on the ballot. in 25 years, two different bonds have failed. that is not just in san francisco but throughout the bay area. it has been a very hard thing to do a hard sell. the people of san francisco understand that we as the country have failed in maintaining our infrastructure and investing in that. we see the consequences of that with bridges and public transportation and roads. people are beginning to understand that we have to invest in our infrastructure. our roads and sidewalks are a key part of that. i am so proud of the people of san francisco for understanding that and giving us the 2/3 that we needed. my counterparts around the bay area and elected officials from other areas of the county, their jaws dropped because they have nev

the department of human resources from my experience for 20 years at san francisco general hospital needs improvement. something like this is a step in the right direction. we should be passing this resolution. i would also like to take this opportunity to say working with the fbi is not a bad thing that 99% of what they do is good. like any organization, there are few problems, so maybe this is a good step to reconcile the city of san francisco with the fbi. the first speaker made some very good points and i feel she is emphasizing that even when people have a past history, they should not be judged on their future job. from my experience, it seems like many superiors, especially in decision making capacities have a tendency to stigmatize certain employees and this type of resolution will tell decisionmakers you have to give everyone a fair chance and just because of one or two mistakes doesn't mean they are going to do something similar in the future. i support the first speaker and this resolution should be passed thank you. >> are there any other members of the public would like to co

our public safety building as well as the san francisco general hospital. you can see $18 million over two years for the public safety building and $170 million for the general. $65 million is expected to come through private fund-raising. i would also point out to you one of the other things that is included in this is the cost of implementing federal health care reform. that is a disclaimer. the district electronic medical records implementation, those sorts of things. that is costing the city $12.9 million. the next slide addresses reserves. overall, there is $11.2 million change to our reserves for fiscal year 12-13. that is due to a couple of things. we will be making an increased deposits into the budget stabilization reserve of about $21.4 million. we also will be increasing our deposits into our general reserves. as you recall, as part of our financial policies, increased the deposit into the general fund reserve. it has been at a level of $25 million. next year, we anticipate finding adds approximately $31.5 million. -- funding at approximately $31.
