more than 83,000 vehicles are being recalled by general motors. the bulk of them the 2011 and 2012 tluk trucks. the problem is that the ignition could get stuck in the start position, potentially, and that could potentially lead to the air bags not working. we should point out there are no fatalities, no accidents, no injuries linked to this recall. that said, this brings the total number of recalls for general motors last year to a record 84. 26.9 million vehicles recalled in the u.s. more than 30 million recalled in north america. and despite this recall and despite other recalls for other automakers and parts suppliers, last year turned out to be a heck of the year for the auto industry. you saw a lot of people buying new vehicles. in fact, a strong december is what we're hearing back from both the dealers as well as the auto makers. expect the full year sales pace when that's calculated to come in at about 16.5 million compared with 15.6 in 2013. and the average selling price for a new vehicle over 31,000 dollars. the profits are greatest with
