secretary kerry met for about six hours today in geneva. the last meeting was in april, when the u.s. and the five other world powers, a part of the p5+1 reached a framework agreement with iran and while those involved no those talks today say they were the most substantive since april, several critical issues remain unresolved. in particular access to iran's military sites by u.n. inspectors. u.s. officials say if iran doesn't agree to the inspections would be a deal breaker. and today they said that inspection of sites is quote unquote, completely out of the question and off the table. and then the issue about sanctions on iran. if an agreement is reached, iran wants them lifted immediately. that was part of the april framework. but the u.s. wants the sanctions lifted over time to make sure iran is complying with the agreement. and u.n. officials also want a snabback mechanism meaning the right to reimpose sanctions if iran doesn't adhere or is basically caught cheating on the agreement. there is some discussion about extending the deadli

are there going to be talks in geneva? >> yes there will be talks. the international community hope to see all the parties including the houthis to find a way to end fighting and instability. here in riyadh, you have key factions like the sunni party people loyal to penalty hadi, people from the south and people affiliated with former president ali abdullah saleh trying to agree on some sort of settlement about how to move forward. they say that they would like to see the international community step in and help hadi. they reject what they describe as a houthi use of force to take over power in yemen and they say that the international community should use force if needed to ask the houthis. will the international community respond to that? i think the general sentiment among many western diplomatics is basically this, we would like to see a peaceful way out of the crisis in yemen. this is why they pin high hopes against the talks in geneva. >> meanwhile the ceasefire has ended, more saudi-led airstrikes have hit yemen. tell us about the latest fight

if this is going to be the case, then i'm sure the houthies would join the talks in geneva. we as yemeni, we don't want to start against a new agreement which we have many agreements in yemen, but the reason was hadi and saudi arabia and they have attacked yemen. >> we have more from riyadh. >> soon after the cease-fire came to an end houthies took position in sadaa and aden. there are talks under way between different actions and the international community where you see couples agree on a new expansion on the cease-fire. this comes against the backdrop of the riyadh conference where key yemeni factions were working on an agreement on the future of the country. they would like the stop the houthies, even if it means an use of force. but that has not been enough as the houthis were not at the talks. the international community hopes to bring all the feuding factions in yemen to agree on a political settlement to put an end to violence and instability. >> still to come on the program a camp in lebanon where one aid group is helping syrian refugees earn a living. >>> no. nepal

cnn's senior international correspondent nic robertson is live with us in geneva. nic, what more do we know about the accident and the latest on his condition? >> reporter: well we understand that the accident happened when he was negotiating a curve. that's what caused him to come down fall heavily on his right side injuring his right femur. the brake,eak, as we understand it is around the area where he's had hip replacement surgery in the past. that would normally be expected to be potentially a weak point. he's being kept in the hospital here all afternoon today so far. what we've been able to see here a number of his staff have just left here literally in the last few minutes. perhaps they're going to take his plane back and he'll be waiting here in the hospital until that other medically equipped aircraft is ready to take him. it does indicate that if he needs that aircraft he's going to avail himself of it. but there will be clearly medical reasons. perhaps the professional advice of doctors here that it would be better for him to take a plane better equipped
