cnbc's geoff cutmore is live in london. can we keep this thing going? >> the economists are saying this is just a temporary fix. there were concerns about a bank possibly struggling here this eases pressure on the global liquidity crunch. it's basically a swap your euros for dollars at a cheaper rate. take some of the pressure off the europeans, but it doesn't cut to the heart of the issue and we still haven't really set about addressing europe's debt problem. but we'll take what we can get in this december. so running up to the end of the year, central banks very much on the front foot, easing the pressure. some of the data bet nert u.s. as well, the consumer numbers were good and the adp jobs report, 206,000 suggesting that maybe america's private sector is putting unemployed americans back to work. so that is a positive that we can run with here. on the european market, we are a little bit high anywhere the ftse. flat in the zetra and the cac, coming into the u.s. open, could be a little bit flat, but generally the tone is good. because we see the po
