geoff: absolutely not. if it is a soft landing a think by definition will hold things as needed and then go back to prior data and see what is required. and also what's been mined, with the political developments on capitol hill recently, government spending is going to be different compared to previous expectations. that further down the line can provide the fed with some assistance as well. if we get a hard landing in the u.s., then easing is needed. looking at the shape of the curve right now, it is relatively gradual. we could settle around 3% heading into 2020 four, all the way 32024, perhaps. all the way through 2024, perhaps. kailey: do you think that is the extent of the curve flattening or inversion? is that is deep as we go or do we have for that go? geoff: on the 10 year horizon, that is where structural issues and demographics and growth and things like that come in. let's face it, across the developing world those things are not going to improve anytime in the near future. we know the u.s. has
